This has been a great experience for all of us in the Sweater Funk Family. We all look forward to seeing you guys on the dancefloor with us every Sunday, as well as hearing all the heat brought by our favorite djs who deem us worthy of a special guest appearance. Thanks a ton. We can't even begin to let you all know how much it means to us that we actually have folks to share our love of this music EVERY FREAKING WEEK! July is always a good time for a party: great weather, BBQs every weekend. This July is special for us as it's our 1 year anniversary this month. In the beginning we had doubts we would make it a year. We just wanted to see if we can get a few pals down in the basement to party and dance to our favorite tunes. Here we are a year later and we've got the makings of a great party. It's certainly my favorite one in town right now. We're celebrating with the official release of the first official Sweater Funk mix. In keeping with the slapping ourselves on the back format, we're gonna focus on the sick talent and record collections of the DJ's in our crew. Well, we do have a guest in the works but nothing is confirmed yet, we will however, keep you in the loop.

Not to discount the rest of the month, please, don't just save your dancing shoes for the anniversary gig, you gotta check these folks we have lined up for July.

Sweater Funk fully approves and supports LOST & FOUND every tuesday @ The Make Out Room. If you've ever heard us go on about "Sad Soul Night" this is what we're blabbering on about. Mellow soul 45's, cute girls slow dancing, cheap beer, tunes about screwing up love, falling in love or wondering what in the hell love is. Believe it or not this is a great place to bring that special one in your life.
