Check out this reggae disco mover from our good friend Jugoe of Bastard Jazz. Remix of Studio One Diva - Jennifer Lara's "I'm in Love" which Evelyn King later re made in the 80s. GREAT REMIX
Thanks to the Rhythmplate fam for delivering us with another great remix. You can find more tracks from the boys over on there SoundCloud page including a bio. Thanks for keeping it quality...
I'm down with Kelis but her new album is hurting. Following the trend of Fist pumping electronic dance tracks for the CLUB, I have to say this is not her best work. I still follow the Kelis of old and think this is just a faze. I know you have problems with NAS but hit the reset button and go back to basics.
Speaking of LENZMAN I bless you readers with his remix of Alicia Keys Unthinkable (D&B track) that is blowing up all over the UK and states. Feeling this mix over the original, at least in my opinion
SLEEPERS...... THIS WAS A BIG RELEASE FOR ALOE BLACC IN 2005. ROY AYERS REMIXED FEATURED SOME HEAVY PLAYERS PUTTING THERE STAMP ON ROY AYERS MOST POPULAR SONGS INCLUDING THIS ONE. I PERSONALLY DIG WHEN ARTIST EXPERIMENT WITH DIFFERENT SOUNDS. ALOE IS KNOW FOR BEING A WITTY MC, BUT THIS TRACK SHOWS A DIFFERENT SIDE
While everyone else is talking about standardized health care system in Canada, let's talk Keys N Krates. The amazing live band/remixers out of Canada. The homie DJ Eleven suggested I check these cats out & I'm excited to let y'all know they will be stateside later this month. Stay tuned for details.
"WE RE-INVENTED THE REMIX!!!
Simultaneously representing the raw soul of live instrumentation, manipulation of turntablism and the progressive technology of Electronic Music, KEYSNKRATES are officially here to bridge the gap.
Previously having toured the globe on individual musical conquests Dj Jr. Flo, Matisse and Adam Tune formed KNK to collectively reinterpret and breathe new life into music.
Expressing his artistry through a set of turntables and recognized with innumerable accolades and a dedicated following, Jr. Flo brings the band a dynamic energy and style that only a certified turntablist and partyrocker DJ could provide.
With the ability to create surreal soundscapes and innovative melodies, Matisse brings an unmatched element of soul to the group.
These distinct elements of composition backed by the infectious, hard hitting rhythms of the charismatic Adam Tune, have proven KNK to be one of the most fun and fresh live show out there. They've received rave reviews from online publications such as the Virgin blog, Urb Magazine, Killahbeez, and Frank 151 to name a few.
The "Live Remix" artists are something to be both seen and heard."
HOME GIRL JACKIE OF "MINT COLLECTIVE" EMAILED THE OTHER DAY AND MENTIONED I SHOULD CHECK OUT THIS GROUP "INSPIRED FLIGHT" OUT OF SAN DIEGO. WHATS COOL IS THAT I GET EMAILS FROM FRIENDS ALL THE TIME EXPOSING ME TO NEW GROUPS WHICH ALSO MEANS FREE MUSIC. SOME GOOD, SOME BAD, BUT I'M ALWAYS OPEN TO NEW SOUNDS. I'M FEELING THIS REMIX AND I THINK YOU'LL DIG IT TO.
