"Radio," the first single from Raphael Saadiq's fifth album Stone Rollin', finds the singer-songwriter emulating the early R&B roots of rock & roll. The song owes a lot to early, gritty, up-tempo tunes like Barrett Strong's "Money," but as with all Saadiq productions, the sound is slick and utterly modern. The video strikes a similar balance between classic style and polished modernity, mixing up shots of Saadiq rocking in retro garb with images of happy young people at a party and a model walking around in an outfit that could pass for something from Lady Gaga's wardrobe.
