K MAXX - SUPADRUNK (Sound Boutique Records)

It's been almost two years since Ken aka K-Maxx passed me a CDR of his music, this cd turned out to contain only one track, Supadrunk. It took a little while to catch on but by the summer of 2011 we were pressuring Ken to press up some vinyl so we could finally play this little local boogie gem at the Sweater Funk parties as we don't play digital. Our very own Sean Boogie stepped up to the plate and made Ken's first vinyl release the second release Sean's very own Sound Boutique label. Already getting attention from Peanut Butter Wolf and boogie heads the world over, this pressing is set to rock the boogie/modern funk fiends and sell out FAST. So come on down to the Knockout this Sunday and pick up your copy from Mr. Boogie himself. K Maxx will be there as well, on the mic, toasting and rocking the crowd and generally making us all Supadrunk.

Sweater Funk returns to Sunday nights at The Knockout THIS MONTH!
After a short hiatus due to circumstances out of our control, we've landed on our feet yet again thanks to the amazing folks over at The Knockout. We'll be holding down every other Sunday in May and will go weekly in June. We sincerely apologize to all our friends, family & guest DJs who've missed out on our Sunday shenanigans. We're gonna make up for it at The Knockout, we swear it!
