I'M FEELING WHAT JUST BLAZE HAS TO SAY ABOUT MOVING FORWARD WITH TECHNOLOGY. SHOUTS TO ALL THE FOLKS PLAYING GOOD MUSIC IN ANY FORMAT - BE IT VINYL, ORIGINAL PRESSING, CD-R, MP3, 8-TRACK, CASSETTE OR WHATEVER. FEEL FREE TO LEAVE YOUR OPINION IN THE COMMENTS.
I agree hugh knight ... For Anonymous if you actually listened to the guy then you wouldn't be posting stupid shit up like that. Just blaze & I got more records than you I put money on it. Keep the comments coming . . .
"serato should be earned"! It makes complete sense for the DJ's who have been putting in work for the past 10 years....dragging 6 crates of wax to rock parties....losing a crate or two in the meantime....having a crate get jacked at an afterparty...digg for hours coughin up dust... It makes sense. BUT Insta-Djs??? as Toph calls em "microwave djs" The ones who have never mixed in their lives and buy serato then call themselves djs? Get tha steppin
I'm feeling what Blaze is saying. Shit is not going to mix or scratch for you. It most defiantly will not teach you how to read a crowd. And as far as dragging crates of records across town there is nothing cool about that. It might seem cool at first and start a few conversations but after a few years of that shit it gets old. Try carrying 3 crates up and down 2 flights of stairs 4 nights for several years. NO FUN!
in reply to Anonymous: True words, in my case i haven't abandoned it I just have more tools. I still buy & play vinyl & cd's now i just use serato in addition. I also used to use a belt drive turntable but I did abandon that for a direct drive table. 1

I definitely agree with Just Blaze, but my one question, is why abandon the media that you got you started? Just a thought!
