The trip was, to say the least, amazing. New York has a swagger like nothing I've ever seen. Like Betty Wright it was "my first time" and I went by myself. Met alot of cool people, big-ups to Lord Sear (SIRIUS Shade 45) who took me under his wing and let me roll with him to Santos to watch how people get down (Lots of dancehall and dirty south classics) It was a sweaty good time. I stayed mostly in Manhattan but ventured to Brooklyn to Statik Selektahs studio while him and Sammy Needlz recorded their radio show, dropped a classic NY set which revived my love for Grand Puba.
Picked up records at Fat Beats and A1 (THX Juan & Daniel!) Bringing home 50 or so records on a plane hurt so good!
