Flint, MI rapper MC Breed, best remembered for hits like "Gotta Get Mine" and "Ain't No Future in Yo Frontin'," has died. Breed's publicist confirmed that Breed died at a friend's house earlier today 11-23-08. He was 36 years old. Breed had recently been battling health issues prior to his death. In September, Breed was admitted to a hospital after suffering from kidney failure, and he was placed on life support for 2 days. He had only 30 percent functionality of his kidneys. Plans were put in place to organize a benefit concert for the rapper to raise money for his medical bills, but they were put on hold when his condition seemed to improve. According to MTV, Breed also talked about coming with a new album, bragging that his skills were as sharp as ever. Before he passed away, Breed was in the process of inking a deal with Ichiban Records. We wish his family and friends strength and fortitude in this difficult time.
